Already on April 16, 2019, a new Lexus model will be presented at the Shanghai Automobile Salon. While the press service decided to add fuel to the fire and presented a teaser with the image of the front of the car. While details are not reported, the company is talking about the model of the “new level”, and experts are talking about the upcoming debut of a premium minivan.
Last year, the president of the Philippine office of Lexus publicly stated that a minivan will appear in the premium lineup. And he spoke about the debut in 2019. At the moment, the Japanese brand has already registered in the China two new names LM350 and LM300h, which are not typical for sedans or crossovers.
Judging by the presented images, the model will be executed in a modern corporate style, with a characteristic radiator grille, as well as head optics in a modern style. The gamma of Lexus minivan engines will be identical to that of the Alphard: a 3.5-liter V6 (301 power) or a hybrid based on an engine 2.5 with a total capacity of 197 horsepower.
Unfortunately, the date of the presentation, as well as the cost of new items are not reported. It can be assumed that the minivan will initially enter the Chinese market.
