Lewis Hamilton is going to the MotoGP stage in QatarMarch 1, 2019
Lewis Hamilton intends to attend the MotoGP stage in Qatar, which will be held next week. The five-time world champion plans to stop in this Middle Eastern state on the way to Australia, where in mid-March the season in Formula 1 will start.
The pilot of Mercedes is a big fan of motorcycles, and we told that when at the end of last year he tested the Yamaha R6 racing bike on the track in Jerez, it didn’t fall, but Fortunately, Lewis was not injured.
From this year, the Malaysian Sepang Racing Team, which has the same title sponsor as Mercedes AMG, i.e. Petronas, an oil and gas concern, performs in the MotoGP class, not only in Moto3 and Moto2, and its leader, Razlan Razali, has already promised Hamilton that he will try to find an opportunity to invite him to the tests. Next week will not be before, but it is likely that in the course of the season Lewis will be able to ride a Yamaha YZR-M1 racing bike with an engine of almost 250 hp.
Hamilton has already been to the MotoGP races, in particular in 2013 he visited the stage in France, where he communicated a lot with the famous Italian motorcycle racer Valentino Rossi, with whom he has good friendly relations.
