Legendary racer Nico Rosberg shows the capabilities of the Porsche Taycan electric carNovember 10, 2020
Hereditary racer Nico Rosberg got behind the wheel of the electric Porsche Turbo S sedan and drove a couple of laps on the Nurburgring. According to him, the car received excellent handling and amazing dynamics.
As part of his next video, the famous racer Nico Rosberg decided to test the all-electric Porsche Taycan sedan in the most powerful version of the Turbo S. It was decided to carry out the tests at the Nurburgring GP and Nurburgring Nordschleife race track.
With all-wheel drive and a powerful electric motor, the Taycan Turbo S sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.6 seconds and the 200 km / h speed mark in just 9.6 seconds. Among other things, these figures are provided by the Taycan electric duo, which develops a total of 616 horsepower (1,049 Nm).
2016 Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg said the car handles well even on a wet road.
In addition, the rider was struck by the amazing acceleration – this fact gives an idea of the high power of the German electric car.
A short trip along the Nürburgring Grand Prix track showed that the car literally “bites” into the road. This effect is achieved through the use of technologies such as torque control, rear-wheel steering and smart electronics. It is worth noting that the electric car weighs quite a lot – 2,313 kg.
After the obligatory lap on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Rosberg wanted to see what the high-speed trains on the Taycan looked like with disabled driver assistance systems. Thanks in part to the excellent balance of the chassis and the heck of a lot of power, he could slide the car anywhere in complete silence.
