Legacy Overland upgraded Land Rover DefenderJuly 20, 2020
The Legacy Overland atelier has redesigned the former Land Rover Defender 90 military SUV.
It should be noted that the changes affected not only the design of the SUV, but also the technical part. So, the car is now equipped with a new 450-horsepower V8 LS3 engine with a volume of 6.2 liters, together with which the 5-speed manual transmission NV4500 functions.
In addition, the tuners equipped the car with a hub-housing transfer case with heavy-duty internals, including a torque-shifting center differential and limited-slip differentials front and rear, as well as heavy-duty axle shafts, heavy-duty suspension and advanced Wilwood disc brakes with six calipers at the front. and four in the back. In addition, the British SUV received a fully galvanized chassis.
The body is finished in Quantum Gray with black accents on elements such as the Heritage grille and around the lamps. At the same time, the highlight of the modified Land Rover Defender 90 is its interior, which breathes with the “spirit” of the German brand Porsche. For example, the front bucket seats are borrowed from the 930 Carrera, while the upholstery is in the traditional Porsche blue Pasha Blue with gray patterns. In turn, the ceiling and roof were trimmed with suede, and a wooden Momo steering wheel was installed in the cabin.
In addition, it was recently noted that the British studio Irmscher, known for its work on Opel and GM models, has demonstrated its new project called Irmscher is3 Black Phantom, based on the Opel Zafira. The cost of the new item has not been disclosed at the moment.
