Last Porsche 911 Speedster auctioned off for $ 500,000April 23, 2020
The proceeds will go to help in the fight against coronavirus.
Porsche disappeared at auction its final Porsche 911 Speedster for $ 500 thousand, and the total amount of donations to the United Way Worldwide coronavirus fund amounted to $ 1 million.
The final Porsche 911 generation 991 is special, as it is the last of the 1948 speedsters made in this generation. The auction where the car was sold took place on RM Sotheby’s online platform.
The Porsche 911 Speedster is the starting point for the seventh generation of the most iconic Porsche nameplate. The car is driven by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The last 911 Speedster was assembled a few months ago in December and was the last 911 left the Porsche assembly line in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany. The Porsche 911 GT Silver Metallic comes with the Heritage Design package.
The car comes with a custom-made 911 Speedster Heritage Design watch from Porsche Design. The watch has historical design features of the Speedster, including a strap made of the same cognac leather as in the entire interior of the car, and a silver wind-up rotor, which is identical to the wheels mounted on the Speedster.
