In addition, the system is able to stop Discovery at the entrance to the traffic jam, and then independently continue driving.

The current generation of Discovery was presented at the Paris Motor Show in September 2016. The car, which is built on the same aluminum platform as the Range Rover, received a fundamentally different exterior, new engines and options. Due to the extensive use of aluminum in the Discovery design, it was easier than the predecessor to 480 kilograms.

The novelty is offered with a 3.0-liter diesel engine, the power of the unit is 249 hp. Also in the range of engines included 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a return of 300 hp. The off-roader can also be purchased with a 3.0-liter petrol engine with a payback of 340 horsepower. All versions of the Discovery are equipped with a permanent all-wheel drive system with a Torsen differential.
