Land Rover Defender returns to US marketJune 2, 2020

The new British SUV is based on the D7x aluminum platform, which is the toughest design currently offered by the brand. The novelty is also the first Land Rover, equipped with a custom cross-country response system, allowing the driver to more accurately change the settings of the car. The machine, in particular, is equipped with a fully independent suspension, a 2-speed transfer case and permanent all-wheel drive.
Land Rover Defender P300 received a 4-cylinder 296-horsepower turbo engine with a volume of 2.0 liters. Defender P400 will be the most powerful version of the model in the USA, at least until there is a variation with an 8V motor. This car has a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder power unit with a capacity of 395 hp, operating under the “soft hybrid” scheme. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The new Defender is also equipped with the new proprietary Pivi Pro3 i multimedia system with a 10-inch touch screen, support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as the possibility of updating “over the air”.
