Lamppost stopped drift Ford MustangSeptember 15, 2020
The driver of the sports car did not cope with the controlled skid
A video was published on the Web, which captured the unsuccessful drift of the latest generation Ford Mustang on the roof of a parking lot in the USA. The driver of the new sports car could not cope with a controlled skid and drove into the only lamp post on his way.
The owner of a red Ford Mustang decided to demonstrate the skills of performing “donuts” on the parking roof of the house. It is noteworthy that there was not a single parked car nearby, which should have greatly facilitated the maneuvering process. Only clearly visible lamp posts and small buildings could interfere with the driver.
After several successful elements, the driver did not calculate the angle of the controlled drift, as a result of which he sent the Mustang straight into the lamp post. From the impact in the sports car, the frontal airbags were deployed, and the hood of the car was folded like an “accordion”. The driver and passenger of the car were not injured.
The damaged Ford Mustang of the latest generation is equipped with a five-liter V8 with 421 horsepower (530 Nm). The sports car unit works in tandem with a six-speed manual or a ten-speed automatic gearbox. A sports car accelerates to “hundreds” in 4.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour. The cost of a new Mustang in the US starts at $ 35,880.
