Lamborghini wants to revive its most utilitarian modelMarch 26, 2019
Lamborghini management thought about expanding the range of SUVs and the release of the “spiritual heir” of the legendary LM002. Unlike Urus, this model will be more adapted for movement on difficult terrain.
It is not clear what kind of car it will be. The Lamborghini leadership wants it to be as good as the LM002 and the Jeep Wrangler. One of the options is that the company will prepare a more utilitarian version of the Urus, although it can be expected that the SUV will become an independent model with a unique design.
The original Lamborghini LM002 was produced from 1986 to 1993. The SUV was the first and last production model built under the Lamborghini Militaria project – the program included the development of vehicles for motorized units of the American army. The LM002 was equipped with an atmospheric 5.2 V12 from the Countach with a capacity of 426 forces and 500 Nm of torque. As an option, it could be equipped with a 7.2-liter V12, designed for racing marine boats.
Conditional successor LM002 – Urus, – is offered with the Off-Road package, in which the crossover becomes more adapted for off-road. These machines are equipped with bumpers with steel amplifiers, stainless steel protective plates for the suspension and transmission, air suspension with a maximum clearance of 248 millimeters.
