The Italian sports car manufacturer announced the launch of the fastest electric car in the world. According to the publication AutoBild, hypercar on batteries will be called Lamborghini Vitola.
The Lamborghini Company also thinking about the “greening” of the lineup. And we are not talking about the development of hybrid cars, as it was, for example, in the case with Ferrari, which released superhybrid LaFerari, but the creation of an all-electric sports car.
ccording to preliminary data, electric Lamborghini receive modular cart J1, made based on the chassis of the electric Porsche Mission E, release scheduled for 2020. From the same car to the “eco–Lamborghini” will move the system fast “refueling” – 800-volt charger that allows to feed the battery to 80 percent in just a quarter of an hour. Terms appearance marketable Lamborghini Vitola not disclosed, but the prototype could debut as early as 2017.
The Italians are going to make Vitola fastest electric vehicle that will be able to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour for 2-2.5 seconds. Estimated top speed is expected to be at 300-320 km/h.
Lamborghini Vitola may be one of the most expensive and exclusive Lamborghini in the history of the brand. The reason is that the future of electric hypercar get the latest and most sophisticated technology, and will be drawn limited edition.
