To debut its new supercar, the Italian company Lamborghini will use a special Unica application that will only work on Apple devices. When showing the news online, augmented reality technologies will be used.
Last week, Lamborghini announced the resumption of production, and also included in its press release a piece of information that is not directly related to the main topic. The document briefly mentions the debut of the new model, which is scheduled for May 7. The report said that the new product “will complement our lineup.” Despite the fact that the company does not explicitly disclose the “identity” of the car, we assumed that this was a Huracan Evo RWD Spyder roadster.
The presentation of the novelty will not take place in the usual format – the car will be shown online, the automaker’s pandemic forced the coronavirus pandemic to take this step.
Lamborghini will take it one step further, becoming the first car brand to take advantage of Augmented Reality (AR) to make the virtual debut of its latest car. Fans of Android will not like this, since the premiere of the new Huracan Evo RWD Spyder with AR support will only be held on Apple devices running at least iOS 11 and an A9 processor or later.
