The Urus SUV is Lamborghini’s best-selling vehicle. The brand celebrated this by sending two copies across Japan on an epic road trip.
The journey began on April 26th in Fukoka and ended on May 23rd. It consisted of 17 stages in Tokyo. During the ride, the super SUVs drove through stunning scenery and photographed at various locations including Pacific Long Beach, Urashima Flower Park, and Big Seto Bridge.
The project conveyed the beauty, dynamism and other delights of Japan, while demonstrating the absolute versatility of the world’s first universal supercar, the Urus, which combines the spirit of a supercar with the functionality of an SUV. Urus allows drivers to drive through any terrain, from track to sand, ice, gravel or rocks.
In general, the route was more than 6500 km. It was overcome by two SUVs, one of which finished in the Blu Astraeus and the other in the Giallo Inti Pearl Capsule.
Designed by the Centro Stile division, they are powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. The motor produces 650 hp. and 850 Nm of torque. According to the Italian automaker, 0-60 mph takes 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 306 km / h.
The Urus is expected to receive a mid-cycle update early next year. The restyling will bring the usual design changes and a new version focused on the EVO track. The new model should be lighter and more powerful. There is also a hybrid variant with an 800 horsepower unit.
