Lamborghini tests a mysterious prototypeSeptember 21, 2019
Italian hypercar Huracan Performante was barely 2 years old, but it seems the company is already working on an updated model.
There is no official confirmation of the information that we will soon see the new Huracan Performante Evo, but photo spies have caught a mysterious prototype that is being tested in Europe. The model seems to resemble the Huracan Evo and does not look so special until you see it from behind.
So, the car was equipped with a unique engine cover, which has a stepped design. This element, unlike everything used in the Huracan line, has more in common with a lid located on the Aventador S.
In addition to the unique detail, the prototype has a different front bumper with a tape on the outer edges. At the same time, it seems that this is nothing special.
Given the minor modifications, we are not entirely sure what this prototype is for. However, experts believe that we may have a test mule for the updated Huracan Performante.
This seems reasonable since the Huracan was updated earlier this year and renamed the Huracan Evo. In addition to other exterior design, the model has a more modern interior with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Of course, the biggest change was the modernized 5.2-liter V10, which develops power in 631 hp. and torque of 600 Nm.
As a result, we won’t be surprised if Lamborghini is working on an updated Huracan Performante, which will receive a more powerful engine. There is no evidence of how powerful the new Performante can be, but initially the car had 30 hp. more than the base Huracan. Thus, the Huracan Performante Evo can have 661 hp. power.
