Lamborghini spoke about the prospects of producing a compact crossoverFebruary 16, 2018
The company Lamborghini does not exclude the development of a crossover, inferior in size Urus. However, this project has not been officially confirmed yet. This was told to the Autonews correspondent by Stefano Domenikali, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Automobile Lamborghini. He added that in any case such a machine would not exactly appear on the market until 2020.
According to the top manager, in the near future the company plans to create a hybrid modification of its first crossover Urus. Domenicali stressed that this decision has already been approved.
Lamborghini Urus made his debut on December 4 at a special event in the Italian city of Sant’Agata Bolognese. The car was equipped with a new four-liter petrol unit V8 with two turbines. The unit, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, develops 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque (available in the range of 2250-4500 rpm).
Lamborghini Urus is capable of accelerating from place to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, and its maximum speed is 305 km per hour. For comparison, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, equipped with a 510-horsepower 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, picks up the first “hundred” in four seconds. The maximum speed is 285 km per hour.
