Lamborghini said it was nearly sold out in 2021. Its production capacity has already been taken into account for 10 months. This was announced by the head of the concern Stefan Winkelmann in the framework of communication with the press at the motor show in Milan.
According to him, the brand will grow in 2021. And this despite the fact that the first half of the year has not yet ended. The high sales figures of the brand are due to the attitude of motorists to free expenses during self-isolation due to the coronavirus.
As a reminder, Lamborghini finished 2020 as the 2nd best year ever. And this despite the 2-month shutdown of production facilities due to the pandemic of the epidemic. In the first quarter of 2021, shipments of the brand increased by nearly 25%, according to a report by AN.
This result was influenced by the sales of the Urus SUV.
For the uninitiated, Lamborghini is investing € 1.5 billion over the next four years to electrify its product portfolio, including hybrid versions of the Huracan, Aventador and the Urus SUV, by 2025.
By 2023, the company will unveil the first production hybrid, which will follow the limited edition Lamborghini Sián. Lamborghini vows that performance is “an absolute priority” despite the electrification of its lineup.
