Lamborghini showed the first super hybrid. But not allJune 28, 2018
Lamborghini demonstrated a limited hypermarket to the group of selected customers with factory index LB48H. A feature of the car, the release of which, according to rumors, will begin before the end of this year, is a hybrid power plant. This is reported by the website TheSuperCarBlog.com with reference to an unnamed source.
According to the insider, the new hypercar will borrow some design elements from the prototype Terzo Millennio, presented in November last year. A total of 63 copies of LB48H will be produced. The price of each will be 2.5 million dollars. The first delivery of the machine to customers will begin in the second half of 2019.
The conceptual Terzo Millennio is developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. According to the idea of engineers, such a hypercar should be equipped with an electric power plant, powered by a set of “innovative super-conduit”.
In the role of the battery is a carbon monocoque Terzo Millennio, which thanks to nanotubes is able to self-repair: fill microcracks and other damages with a special chemical composition.
The appearance of the hybrid supercar in October last year confirmed the head of Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali. They will become the next-generation Huracan coupe, which will debut in 2022.
