Lamborghini reveals details of its new Huracan STOMarch 5, 2021
The new Lamborghini Huracan STO is a supercar inspired by the racing achievements of the Huracan EVO Super Trofeo, Squadra Corsa and Huracan EVO GT3. At the same time, the novelty is certified for use on public roads. The first cars will go to their owners before the end of this year. The supercar is powered by an atmospheric V10 engine with 640 hp. and 565 Nm of torque, which allows the rear-wheel drive model to accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 3 seconds.
The unique features of the Huracan STO primarily include the design of the body panels – the car has a hood, front fenders and front bumper, made in a single component, which allowed Italian engineers to lighten the car. The second feature of the car was the system for selecting the driving mode.
In addition, during the preparation of the production version, the test team traveled in the sports car simulator a distance equal to three round-the-world trips. This allowed engineers to save on lead times and environmental emissions. Another feature of the novelty can be considered a huge number of components, which is 2,750 units. Finally, special software has been written for the Huracan STO that can provide communication between the vehicle, on-board cameras and the app. The program records all telemetry and provides the user with free access to it.
