Lamborghini reports record sales in the second half of 2020January 13, 2021
Italian brand Lamborghini released its 2020 sales figures on Wednesday 13 January.
So, in 2020, the company’s sales volume fell by 9%, in Lamborghini this is associated with the downtime of the enterprise for 70 days last spring due to restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, the Italian brand reported record sales for itself in the second half of last year.
In total, the Italian company was able to sell 7,430 cars in 2020, which is less than in 2019, when 8,205 cars were sold. In terms of specific models, the Urus sold 4,391 units last year, the Huracan 2,193 units and the Aventador 846 units.
Most of the cars sold by the Italian brand in the United States (2204 units). Then go Germany (607 units), China (604 units), Japan (600 units), Great Britain (517 units) and Italy (346 units). At the same time, the largest growth in Lamborghini sales was recorded in South Korea – 303 cars (+ 75%) were managed here. It is worth saying that the Italian automaker has also expanded its model lineup in 2020 with the introduction of the Huracan EVO RWD, Sian Roadster, Essenza SCV12, Huracan STO and SC20.
In addition, it was noted some time ago that Lamborghini and Bugatti believe that classic combustion engines are more important than ever. Thus, the luxury brands of the Volkswagen Group are not very eager to electrify.
