Lamborghini launches 10,000th AventadorSeptember 10, 2020
Automobili Lamborghini has reached an important milestone with its model: in 9 years, the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant produced 10,000 Aventadors.
Citing the press service of the Italian brand, the car with chassis number 10,000 is the Aventador SVJ roadster in Grigio Acheso (gray) with Rosso Mimir livery and Ad Personam interior in Rosso Alala. The car is intended for the Thai market.
Recall that the first model of the Aventador family debuted in 2011. It was the Aventador LP 700-4 coupe. Thanks to new technological solutions, the car immediately became a new reference point in the world of supercars.
Its innovative carbon fiber monocoque, manufactured at Sant’Agata Bolognese, is a ‘one shell’: unlike other solutions, it combines the cockpit, floor and roof of the car into a single structure, providing extremely high rigidity and thus maximum protection.
A new high-performance V12 engine has been developed for the Aventador LP 700-4: with an output of 700 hp. at 8,250 rpm, it set a new standard in the super sports car world when it was launched, accelerating the car to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to 350 km / h.
In November 2012, Automobili Lamborghini introduced a roadster version of the Aventador. Its roof consists of two sections and is made entirely of carbon fiber using various technologies. In fact, each roof section weighs less than 6 kg. At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador J was unveiled – an “open” supercar, the exterior and interior of which merge with each other, in which the roof and the classic windshield have been abandoned.
In 2016, Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador Miura Homage, a special series based on the Aventador coupe that pays homage to the Miura, the predecessor of Lamborghini’s V12 supercars, on its 50th anniversary. Also in 2016, the new Lamborghini Aventador S was presented with a new aerodynamic design, redesigned suspension, more power and completely redesigned driving dynamics. The “S” stands for improved versions of pre-existing Lamborghini models. The Aventador S is equipped with a 6.5-liter 12-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 40 hp. more than the previous model.
