Lamborghini Huracan equipped with a Hummer engine and manual gearboxOctober 15, 2019
1000-hp supercar will be shown at the SEMA show
Chris Steinbacher, author of YouTube channel B is for Build, will bring an unusual Lamborghini Huracan to the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Italian supercar was transplanted with a “heart” from Hummer H2 and a manual transmission from Audi R8.
The car began its life as an all-wheel drive Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, that is, it was equipped with a 5.2-liter atmospheric V10 with a capacity of 610 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. Due to unsuccessful tuning, the supercar was badly burned, and it was in this form that Steinbacher got it, who decided not only to restore the Lamba, but to turn it into something extraordinary.
As a result, “Hurricane” got a 6.0-liter LQ4 LS V8: such an engine was put on pickups Chevrolet, Hummer H2 and GMC Yukon Denali, where it gave out 305 or 330 forces and 488 or 502 Nm of torque. For the supercar, the unit was modernized and supplemented with two turbochargers, and now its return is about 1000 horsepower. Instead of the seven-speed preselective robot LDF, the six-speed manual transmission from the Audi R8 are used.
As SEMA approached, many tuning studios began to announce their projects. Thus, the SpeedKore Performance Group, known for its restodes, will bring to the show the all-wheel drive Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody with the V8 HEMI Demon, and the Ringbrothers will show the first-generation carbon Chevrolet Camaro.
