Lamborghini details the Essenza SCV12 racing carSeptember 15, 2020
The press service of the Italian brand has published a video in which the creators of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 racing hypercar talk in detail about their creation. In addition, the video provides some tips for driving the most powerful coupe – advice from legendary goschiks.
While Lamborghini has been making very fast cars that are allowed to drive on public roads for quite some time, the brand’s racing division has gone unnoticed until recently. Most recently, these guys unveiled the Essenza SCV12, which is the Italian automaker’s most advanced hypercar designed for the racetrack.
With the Essenza SCV12 hypercar, they wanted to show the true essence of the company, according to Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s racing division.
It will be the Italian automaker’s most powerful hypercar, with a naturally aspirated 830 horsepower V12 engine mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The engine delivers an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 horsepower per kilogram thanks to its lightweight carbon fiber chassis – a “life cage” so strong that the car doesn’t need a traditional roll cage to protect passengers.
To help customers maximize the potential of their vehicles, the Italian automaker brought in Emanuele Pirro, five-time winner of the 24 Hours LeMans, and Marco Mapelli, one of the Italian automaker’s GT3 drivers, to provide some advice to future SCV12 owners.
The Italian hypercar is capable of developing a downforce of 1,200 kg at a speed of 250 km / h.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Lamborghini has released the 10,000th Aventador supercar. The Italian company Lamborghini has produced a “jubilee” copy of the Aventador supercar. The car rolled off the assembly line in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
