Lamborghini Board of Directors ShiftsJanuary 23, 2020
Automobili Lamborghini has announced the appointment of Giovanni Perosino as the new Commercial Director, who will report directly to the Chairman and CEO of the company, Stefano Domenicali.
Since January 1, 2020, Giovanni Perosino is responsible for the global sales department to consolidate the company’s extraordinary growth and its latest sales records, which were partially achieved thanks to the launch of the new Super SUV Urus.
Giovanni Perosino will replace Federico Foscini, who, in turn, has been approved as a member of the board of directors in a managerial position as head of the procurement department. After graduating in engineering management, Foscini has been on the Lamborghini team for the past 20 years. During this time, he held various positions with increasing responsibility, first in the procurement field, and then as a project management officer, until his appointment as Director of Sales in 2015.
Giovanni Perosino, born in Turin, earned a degree in business and economics from a city university. His first professional role in 1991 was at the DMB & B advertising agency in Milan, where he joined the Bacardi-Martini group, which led many successful international marketing projects in Europe from its headquarters in Amsterdam. Since 2001, he worked as director of marketing and communications at Fiat Group, first at Lancia and then at the FIAT brand, until he became vice president of marketing communications at Fiat Group Automobiles.
In September 2010, Giovanni Perosino joined the Volkswagen Group as vice president of marketing communications for the Volkswagen brand at their headquarters in Wolfsburg. In 2014, he took on the same role at Audi at the global headquarters of the German brand in Ingolstadt, from where he later moved to Automobili Lamborghini.
