Laffite X-Road buggies cost more than UrusJanuary 16, 2020
Laffite Supercars has announced the start of accepting orders for the X-Road SUV.
This new model was assembled in the style of concepts for the Dakar, and it costs from 465 thousand dollars for a variation with the LS3 V8 6.2 and from 545 thousand dollars for the electric version. It turns out that the base X-Road is priced at half the price of the Lamborghini Urus.
Lightweight composite material was chosen as the material for the external body panels, since the weight of the machine is only 1300 kg. This car has an LS3 V8 6.2 engine with a return of 470 to 730 hp. An all-electric Laffite modification is also available, but details are currently not available.
As noted, the X-Road is equipped with a rear-wheel drive system. The transmission is offered 5-speed or 6-speed. It is known that the Laffite X-Road can accelerate as much as possible to 230 km / h.
X-Road is not exclusive. Back in 2010, the American company Local Motors developed the Rally Fighter, which had a plastic body. Since the car was released under a Creative Commons license, everyone had the right to reproduce it, indicating the authorship of the original model.
Also, the Prior Design studio showed a highly controversial styling kit for the Lamborghini Urus. The kit includes an aerodynamic body kit, a convex hood and a large diffuser.
