Kuhl Racing is preparing to show its version of the RAV4September 24, 2019
The company is working on external improvements: the aerodynamic body kit will be ready soon, although the date of its display has not yet been announced. Together with aerodynamic elements, the car will receive new wheels and improvements in the suspension.
The place of the official premiere will probably be either the Tokyo International Auto Show in October or the Tokyo Auto Salon tuning exhibition, which will be held in January 2020. Cars can be shown as part of both events. As a rule, Kuhl Racing works only on the exterior and a little on the suspension, so there’s no need to talk about deep technical modifications to the power plant. In addition, the basis for showing the project will apparently be the hybrid version of RAV4, as the most popular in Japan.
The car will receive modified bumpers, door sills and a rear tailgate spoiler. The end part of the exhaust system is missing from the photo, but the graphic image shows two new twin tailpipes resembling titanium. Kuhl Racing has not yet specified which system the car will ultimately receive.
Almost all Kuhl Racing works are extravagant and stand out sharply in comparison with the proprietary aerodynamic body kits offered by the automaker itself. So it will be this time. New wheels and tires will complement, and wheel alignment is likely to be substantially changed.
Modifications in the cabin are probably not planned.
It is too early to talk about when the aerodynamic body kit will be on sale and what will be the cost. It is worth expecting, perhaps, by the end of the first half of 2020. In any case, like most other Kuhl Racing works, the novelty will not leave the limits of the Japanese domestic market.
