KTM 390 Adventure 2020 introduced at EICMA 2019November 11, 2019
KTM CEO Stefan Pirer mentioned in an interview that the goal of the company is to create a dual-use motorcycle. The statement was made 7 years ago, the bike will be built on the basis of the new generation model Duke 390.
KTM 390 Adventure 2020 is a small copy of the enduro 790 Adventure model; they look almost identical. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder 373 cc engine, developing a power of 43 hp. Thus, the motorcycle becomes a market leader due to the fact that its performance surpasses all competitors in its class, for example BMW G310GS, Kawasaki Versys 300X and Suzuki DR-Z400S.
The KTM 390 Adventure 2020 steel frame is also almost identical to the 390 Duke frame. The only thing is that the subframe and exhaust system mounts are slightly different. The motorcycle received another, longer-stroke suspension. In front is a 43 mm WP APEX USD Ø inverted fork with a stroke of 170 mm. At the rear, a WP APEX monoshock is installed with a stroke of 177 millimeters. Thus, the motorcycle clearance increased to 200 millimeters. This figure is really very good for this class. Seat height reaches 855 millimeters. The dry weight of the motorcycle is 158 kg.
It is worth noting a fairly rich equipment for the value of the bike. For 6.2 thousand dollars you get a 5 ″ TFT dashboard that can connect to your devices via bluetooth, traction control, ABS corner system, Bybre single disc radial brakes, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, slipping clutch, LED optics and two-position adjustable glass. In addition, as additional options, the buyer will be able to purchase Quickshifter and various touring equipment, such as saddle bags and large windows.
The company boasts a power reserve of KTM 390 Adventure 2020, which reaches 400 kilometers with a small tank – 14.5 liters. The claimed consumption of the motorcycle is 3.62 liters per 100 kilometers.
Experts believe that the new product from KTM will certainly become the leader in the Russian market for sales in its segment, if the company can deliver an adequate price for a copy.
