Koenigsegg Gemera hypercar named the most practical among analoguesAugust 21, 2020
The founder of the Swedish company Christian von Koenigsegg spoke about the practicality of his hypercars.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is a truly unique vehicle on the market. There is no other car that can accommodate up to four adults, provide cargo space for their luggage and take them on a journey at a speed of 400 kilometers per hour.
It seems that Christian von Koenigsegg, the founder and ideologist of the Swedish company, has talked to many people who do not believe that this is actually possible. To allay skepticism, he details the Gemera’s practical interior in a new video uploaded to Koenigsegg’s official YouTube channel.
In the first half of the video, he talks about technology at Gemera. This isn’t news – we all know about the innovative 2.0-liter three-cylinder twin-turbo engine powered by three electric motors, but Christian’s friendly way of explaining things gets everyone’s attention.
After the five-minute mark, he inspects the cab and two cargo bays of the vehicle. Thanks to its well-thought-out layout and small engine, Gemera can comfortably accommodate four two-meter-tall people on board. Yes, getting into the car from behind is not so easy, but it’s still a hypercar. And what you won’t see in any other hypercar is the impressive array of cupholders.
Recall that thanks to the improved transmission Koenigsegg Gemera has 1,700 horsepower and 3,500 Newton meters. And this is more than enough for a phenomenal acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour in 1.9 seconds. With four people on board.
