Koenigsegg effectively congratulates everyone on Valentine’s DayFebruary 14, 2021
With the help of its Regera hypercar, the Swedish company Koenigsegg effectively congratulated everyone on Valentine’s Day. A video has been released showing the Koenigsegg Regera making a “snow heart” for Valentine’s Day.
“A very special hypercar awaits you on the snowy runway of the Koenigsegg plant in Angelholm, Sweden. Fate is in motion and soon you will find your dream hypercar,” reads the accompanying text to the published congratulatory video from Koenigsegg.
The Koenigsegg Regera is truly a masterpiece.
First, it costs a staggering $ 1.9 million, and that’s just the base trim of a powerful hypercar. Second, Koenigsegg has already sold all 80 Regera slated for production. Therefore, even if you have money, you will have to wait until one of them appears on the used market.
The Koenigsegg Regera is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors for a total power output of 1,500 horsepower. The car can accelerate to 100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 400 km / h.
Thanks to this unique hybrid powertrain, the Koenigsegg Regera does not have a classic drivetrain and instead uses electric motors to transfer power from the V8 engine to the wheels. The absence of a transmission reduces the weight of the hypercar and improves its dynamic characteristics, since the transmission does not cause mechanical loss of power from the engine.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that before the sale, all Koenigsegg Regera are tested by speed. Absolutely every copy of the Swedish hypercar Koenigsegg Regera undergoes numerous tests before being handed over to the client. Among other things, the cars are accelerated to 300 km / h on a special race track.
