KIA will bring to the motor show in New York a new compact crossover TuskerFebruary 5, 2019
The appearance of new items will overlap with the concept of SP, presented last year. Compact cross is based on the same platform as the next generation Hyundai Creta.
Already this spring, KIA will present the new compact crossover called the Tusker to the world community. According to “The Korean Car Blog”, which refers to a source familiar with the situation, the novelty will storm the global market, and the manufacturer will debut its debut at the April New York Auto Show.
Key design elements of the compact cross borrow from last year’s SP concept car, presented at the auto show in New Delhi. Spy shots that once got on the Web confirm this assumption: the serial car not far away from its “donor”.
It is known that KIA Tusker will be built on the same “cart” with the new generation of Hyundai Creta. However, the brand does not plan to use all the advantages of this platform and bring to the market a seven-seater SUV. Salon Tusker will be exclusively five-seater.
According to experts, as a motor, customers will be offered a 1.4-liter supercharged 1.4-liter capacity of 140 hp. A pair of him will be a 7-step “robot”. Today, such an engine can be seen under the hood of the third generation KIA Ceed. Another power unit – a 150-strong two-liter “aspirated”, combined with a CVT. Four-wheel drive for new items is not provided.
