KIA unveils first teaser video ahead of Sonet debutJuly 21, 2020
Spy photos of the car have already been published several times. Very soon we will learn about the trim levels and official prices of the car.
KIA prepares for the premiere of the new Sonet crossover. Recall that the debut of the car will take place on August 7 this year. Shortly before the premiere, KIA released a special teaser video, which turned out to be quite bright. The video allows you to reveal some of the features of the car and compare it with the concept car, which was presented at the motor show in India in February this year.
The car will retain the signature grille and LED headlights from the prototype. The taillights will also go to the production version from the concept car, including a bright red stripe between them. But the KIA inscription on the back was replaced with the company logo. Spy photos of the salon were published back in April, but we have not seen official pictures. The main novelties will be sports seats in the GT Line version, as well as a large multimedia system with a touchscreen. They decided to leave the gear lever in the classic version.
The new KIA Sonet will receive a platform from the compact Hyundai Venue. These two cars should turn out to be similar technically, but will be very different in design.
If Venue sticks to the classic style, then Sonet should be very bright and even a little futuristic. The length of the car should not exceed 4 meters for a lower tax rate.
It is expected that in the Indian market KIA Sonet will receive three engines – a 1.2-liter “aspirated”, a 1.0-liter turbo engine and a diesel engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters. According to preliminary data, the basic version of the car will be estimated at 700 thousand rupees
