Kia Sonet crossover sales startedSeptember 18, 2020
Korean automaker announced the start of sales of the new budget crossover Kia Sonet. The production of the novelty started at the very beginning of September, and the first “live” copies of the model will be handed over to customers by the end of this month.
Recall that the Kia Sonet is based on the platform of the popular subcompact crossover Hyundai Venue. The dimensions of the novelty do not differ much from the dimensions of the “donor” and are 3995x1790x1647 mm, while the wheelbase is 2,500 mm. Kia Sonet received a gasoline 83-horsepower unit with a volume of 1.2 liters and a 120-horsepower 1.0-liter “turbo-three”, as well as a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a return of 100 hp.
The interior of the model houses a 10.25-inch touchscreen of the multimedia system, which is visually connected to a completely digital instrument panel. The company also previously said that the new product will have at its disposal a wider list of active and passive safety functions, including six airbags, as well as an upgraded combination in this class of side and front passenger protection.
The Kia Sonet crossover will be offered in two versions, which differ in body kits and a radiator grill: Tech and GT. The body color can be two-tone – three options are available, the line of monochromatic colors includes seven colors. The site indianauto.com with a link to dealers reports that the cost of new items in India is approximately $ 10,000.
