KIA shows a new company logoDecember 12, 2019
KIA will change its corporate logo in the near future.
It seems that Volkswagen is not the only major automaker to change its corporate logo, as Kia is likely to do the same in the near future. Several November 26 patent applications show a long-overdue interpretation of the Kia badge, which probably better illustrates brand development over the past decade.
The KIA stylized logo app, designed in red and black, has been filed with the local patent office by the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service. Kia has not yet received official approval from the local authorities, but it is probably a matter of time. The Kia icon has received quite significant changes.
If the new icon looks familiar, then there is a good reason for this. At the beginning of this year, at the Geneva Motor Show, the Kia’s Imagine concept had an almost identical logo, the only difference was that it was highlighted in white.
It’s too early to say whether the new logo will be used on all cars, as the reports say that Kia can only use it for its hybrids and electric cars. Despite this, it is nice to know that the new logo is finally on its way.
