Kia showed restyled cross SportageSeptember 22, 2020
In South Korea, the presentation of the updated KIA Sportage cross for the home market took place. The new car did not receive any external changes, at the same time, it acquired richer equipment and a new flagship version of the Gravity.
Now Sportage additionally received an electronic parking brake with Autohold function and a 4.2-inch color screen of the on-board computer on the dashboard, which was previously offered only in expensive trim levels.
A new top-end variation of Gravity has acquired its own features, among which it is worth noting the original glossy black radiator grille with a different pattern, dark edging of the windows, as well as nameplates on the trunk, 19-inch wheels and much more.
The engine line-up remains the same. In the Korean market, the updated Sportage will be offered with three engines: a 152-horsepower 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, a 136-horsepower 1.6-liter Smartstream diesel engine and a more efficient 186-horsepower 2.0-liter diesel engine. Together with the petrol unit, a 6-speed automatic transmission works, with the “junior” diesel engine – an 8-speed automatic transmission, and with the flagship unit – a 7-speed robotic transmission with two clutches.
The restyled Sportage is already on sale. The minimum cost is 23.76 million won, while the flagship version of the Gravity will have to pay at least 26.55 million won.
In addition, we recently demonstrated how the Kia K5 makes a 360-degree turn in the air. It should be emphasized that the corresponding video was shared by the press center of the South Korean car manufacturer.
