Kia releases interior shots of the new 2021 Kia K8 big sedanMarch 4, 2021
Only a couple of days have passed since images of the interior design of the new K8 were leaked to the web, as Kia released a couple of high-quality images of the sedan’s interior detailing some of its innovations. This is the first official look at the new Kia K8 sedan that won’t make it to the US.
The upper half of the 2021 Kia K8’s two-tier dashboard is dominated by a massive curved display consisting of a 12-inch infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster. The touchscreen removes the bulk of physical buttons from the interior. On the left is a three-spoke steering wheel with an updated Kia badge in the center.
The center console houses a gearshift disc, a mode switch, two cupholders and a storage compartment for small items. The heated seat and steering wheel buttons are located in front of the center armrest. For the first time, Kia has installed a premium 14-speaker Meridian speaker system in the K8. The interior features natural light, wood surfaces, high-quality metal finishes and diamond-patterned Nappa leather upholstery.
“The K8 is a modern sedan with a dynamic appearance that matches its progressive and elegant interior. This vehicle – our first since the rebranding of our new company – sets us on the path forward as we strive to achieve our future goals, ”said Karim Habib, head of global design and senior vice president of Kia.
