Kia has started tests of the new SoulFebruary 6, 2018
Kia Company has started road tests of crossover Kia Soul of the next generation. The first spy photos of the test prototype of the novelty, which should debut early next year, published the publication Motor1.
Judging by the pictures, the second generation crossover will retain its characteristic angular shape. As expected, some stylistic elements will be borrowed from the concept car Trail’ster, presented in 2015 at the Chicago Motor Show.
According to unofficial data, the new Kia Soul will be built on a new architecture that provides for the use of an all-wheel drive scheme, so it is possible that a crossover will have a corresponding modification. In the photographs in front of the prototype sensors are also noticeable. This may indicate that next generation Kia Soul will be offered with automatic control systems.
It is assumed that the line of engines will include some current engines. The base will be a 132-horsepower 1.6-liter unit. In addition, a two-liter engine with 163 horsepower will be available, also a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo, which produces 204 horsepower.
