The company Kia began road tests of the largest crossover in its lineup, which will replace the Mohave model. The first photos of the test prototype of SUV published by publication The Korean Car Blog.
The prototype of such car called Telluride was shown in January 2016 at the Detroist motor show, and two years later the chief designer of the South Korean brand Peter Schreier stated that the company is developing a production version of the crossover.
According to preliminary data, Kia Telluride will be built on an extended Sorento platform. Unlike the prototype, the crossover will lose its non-standard rear doors opening up against the direction of travel.
The novelty will be offered with both front and all-wheel drive. It is possible that Kia Telluride will borrow from the concept car hybrid power plant, which includes a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter petrol V6, and an electric motor with a capacity of 130 horsepower.
The exact timing of the appearance of the new largest crossover Kia has not yet been called. The model will primarily be sold in the North American market.
