The South Korean brand has unveiled the most powerful version of its 2022 Kia EV6 electric crossover. In addition, technical details about the Kia EV6 were revealed.

Kia unveiled the EV6 a couple of weeks ago but hasn’t released any specs about its electric new product. Fortunately, we now have all the details along with additional images showing the novelty in the GT-Line and GT versions.

The EV6 GT uses twin electric motors with a combined output of 577 horsepower and a massive instantaneous torque of 740 Nm. The all-wheel-drive electric crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just three and a half seconds and can travel at speeds of up to 260 km / h.

The most powerful version of the crossover (GT) features an electronic limited slip differential for better handling on all road surfaces.

While Kia also offers a smaller 58 kWh battery, the all-wheel-drive GT is exclusively available with the largest battery at 77.4 kWh.

If you prefer efficiency over performance, a larger battery can be obtained with a single-engine configuration option (rear-wheel drive), in which case the EV6 can travel more than 510 kilometers on a single charge.

Kia will give buyers the freedom to choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and a smaller or larger battery, on all models except the flagship GT. The sporty GT-Line is also available in various configurations.

When it comes to charging, it only takes 18 minutes to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent, with a 100 kilometers range reaching in just four and a half minutes, assuming it’s an RWD model with a larger battery. The new Kia EV6 can supply battery power to external devices, with Kia claiming it can power a 55-inch TV.

The Kia electric car built on the E-GMP platform has the following dimensions: 4,680 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,550 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The GT Line and GT are actually slightly longer and wider, and the zesty GT is also slightly lower to the ground.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the updated KIA Seltos crossover will debut in April 2021. India will be the first market for the restyled version. When the cross will reach Russia is still unknown.
