Kia has published a teaser for the new Seltos crossoverJune 14, 2019
South Korean new will be presented this month, and in the second half of this year, the crossover will go on sale on the car market of Korea, and then will be available in other countries.
Just a couple of days after the press service of the South Korean brand published the teasers of the XCeed crossover, Kia released a new teasing video for another of its compact crossover. Focusing on the North American car market, as well as the Indian market, which the company recently entered, the crossover under the name Seltos is now shown with a 30-second clip, which reveals quite a lot of design details. We see things like headlights and taillights, as well as an intricate tiger nose grille and light alloy wheels.
We would not even say that this is a “bold SUV”, as mentioned in the title of this video, but I must admit that Kia Seltos looks quite interesting. The new Seltos will not get a bold exterior design inside, where the salon will have a traditional look.
Many previous teasers practically uncovered the interior of the crossover, which will have a simple dashboard and center console without any “chips”. According to Kia, the Seltos boasts a 10.25-inch touch-screen infotainment system, but it will not be accompanied by a fully digital instrument cluster of the same size as the XCeed.
Kia promised to show the Seltos new crossover this month, so the wait is almost over. Sales will begin in the second half of this year at home in South Korea, and then gradually in other markets.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that Kia is working hard to update its portfolio of crossovers, given that it just launched a hefty Telluride and is also testing the next-generation mid-size Sorento. In addition, for some markets, a brand new Mohave SUV is being prepared, which was announced several months ago with the Masterpiece concept at the Seoul Auto Show.
