Kia has published a teaser for the all-electric concept ElectricFebruary 21, 2019
The South Korean novelty received an exterior from a spaceship, and also rather high power. The electric car will be shown at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
The XCeed Compact Crossover won’t be Kia’s only global debut at the Geneva Motor Show (March 2019). The South Korean automaker will also introduce a new all-electric concept car, the teaser of which was published by the press service of the brand a few minutes ago.
According to representatives of the company, “the concept embodies the emotional approach of Kia engineers to electrification.”
Over Kia Electric worked specialists from the European design center Kia in Frankfurt (Germany). The novelty is “the visual embodiment of the company’s desire to move forward in the exciting world of electrification.”
In the only teaser image of the electric vehicle, we see the front of the concept, which has an LED circuit in the form of glasses. The LED strip surrounds two horizontal LED blocks that are part of the headlights, and also illuminates the Kia logo.
Other design highlights include a “sculpted” hood, wide wheel arches and tiny, antenna-like camcorders replacing side mirrors. “Automotive design is what grabs the heart and makes it beat faster and longer — and we believe that there is absolutely no reason why this should change simply because the car is electric,” said Gregory Guillaume, vice president by design Kia Motors Europe.
The South Korean electric car should get more power – should the “filling” fully comply with the aggressive exterior. Mr. Guillaume also said that the car would make “the hair on the back of your head get up when you drive it.”
