KIA confirmed the debut of a new electric crossoverMay 8, 2020
The novelty will be based on the Imagine concept car, which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019.
KIA has confirmed the debut information for its all-electric car in 2021. The novelty will be based on the E-GMP platform, created specifically for electric cars. Due to close cooperation with one of the leaders in the market of electrical equipment Rimac, KIA promise incredible new performance. In the future, KIA electric cars from the mass segment will have the same characteristics.
The management of the Korean brand reported that the power reserve will be about 450 km, and the quick charge function will restore energy in 20 minutes. This was made possible thanks to a special platform technology that allows charging from a 350 kW unit.
KIA is also going to present a charged version of the EV, which will not be inferior in performance to the electric Porsche Taycan. Other specifications are kept in secret.
The design features the car should receive from the concept of Imagine by KIA. The car will belong to the C-segment crossovers. It is noteworthy that during the presentation of the concept, KIA designers said that when they go into mass production, the changes will be minimal. If this is true, then the novelty can surprise not only with technology.
