The web has shown spy photos of the modernized flagship model of Kia – the oversized K9 sedan.

The most expensive and premium model of the South Korean concern will be redesigned. Upgraded from the rear, the K9 resembles the luxurious Bentley Flying Spur, and from the front it resembles the early Genesis G90s.

The second generation Kia K9 sedan is in modest demand from customers, so the concern decided to change the exterior. The bumpers, grille and headlights, luggage compartment lid and fenders will receive rethinks. The flagship will take on a different face – with elongated optics in the style of Genesis and a wide grille in chrome.

At the rear, the redesigned K9 is recognizable by the LED line that visually unites the headlights. Reflective inserts flaunt above the tailpipes. The place for the license plate has moved to the lower part of the bumper. A reimagined “flat” logo has also been added.

The details of the technical plan have not yet been announced. Probably, the flagship sedan still has 6-cylinder petrol units under the hood. This is a naturally aspirated engine with a volume of 3.8 liters and a turbocharged unit of 3.3 liters.

The brand has not yet confirmed the appearance of the maximum performance sedan with a 5-liter V8 engine, as well as hybrid installations.

It is possible that the debut show of the upgraded K9 will take place in the next two months. Photos of the model without disguise prove that the novelty is ready for release. The updated sedan will also be sold on the Russian market. The all-wheel drive successor to Quoris will be called the K900.
