Kia again published a teaser of the new generation OptimaNovember 5, 2019
Kia Motors today unveiled its second render of the third-generation K5 model, which is scheduled for release in December.
Kia Motors reinforced its sporty image by surpassing the design of the existing K5. The new K5 has evolved from an evolution of dynamism into a stylish sports sedan, while Kia Motors aggressively applies bold design elements to create an intense and futuristic look. The exterior of the new K5 is stable and dynamic thanks to a combination of previously separated elements. In particular, head and taillights in the form of a cardiogram are used to enhance a dynamic image. The new K5 also features a thicker side glazing line that extends to a shorter boot lid, creating a fastback style.
Inside we can see a large infotainment system with the image of all-round cameras, seats with heating and ventilation, a wireless charger for the phone (now moved to the gearbox), but not a fully digital cluster, despite the fact that they were present on official teasers .
Earlier, we reported that the new Kia Optima will receive 2 different turbocharged engines and will use 3 different transmissions. 1.6T will be available with two power levels, while one of the modifications will receive an 8-speed “automatic”, and the other – a transmission with dual clutch with 7 speeds. The all-new Theta3 engine with a displacement of 2.5 liters will become the top one, the pair of which will be an 8-speed gearbox with double clutch and four-wheel drive. Its power will be about 286 hp.
The third generation of the new K5 is expected to enter the domestic market for the first time in December.
