Ken Block’s Subaru WRX STi for sale at auctionFebruary 23, 2021
The 2002 Subaru WRX STi, owned by Ken Block, is up for auction on Wall Street Motorsport.
Recall that Block used this car when he jumped 52 meters to set a world record. As the ad description suggests, the car has been updated to look like a 2006 model and has been rigorously tested by Vermont SportsCar, which designs cars for the Subaru Rally Team USA.
The particular Subaru WRX STi was the first car in which Block was able to win the national rally championship. Speaking of the cost of the car put up for sale, at the time of writing, it reached $ 53,000.
Recall that the Subaru WRX STI is a sports car in the sedan or hatchback body, which has a more efficient power unit and other suspension configurations in comparison with the younger “brother” WRX. Note that the production of this car started in 1994.
It is worth mentioning that Subaru is an auto company founded in 1953 by Kenji Kita, who was a true automotive enthusiast and was personally involved in the development of the first concept of the P-1 passenger car in 1954.
In addition, some time ago it was reported that the first model of the Subaru off-road sub-brand was noticed during testing. It should be emphasized that this new product of the Japanese car manufacturer should debut this year.
