Kawasaki Introduces New Retro Motorcycle at EICMA 2019October 18, 2019
At the moment, the green manufacturer is selling two versions of the updated Kawasaki W800: Cafe and Street. Rumors about the development of the third model have been around for several months, and now they have been confirmed by a Kawasaki representative.
In an interview with Motociclismo, Kawasaki Italy’s marketing and sales director Sergio Vicarelli openly spoke about the company’s big plans. Last month, technical director Giovanni Poly shared information and said that the manufacturer is developing an electric cycle and four-wheeled motorcycle.
In a conversation about the third version of a retro motorcycle, Sergio said that such a motorcycle is really being developed and will be presented at EICMA 2019, that is, a new generation of W800 is not planned yet. Journalists suggested Scrambler, but Vicarelli did not comment on their guess, or rather did not confirm or refute.
Kawasaki is planning at least two premieres at the Tokyo 2019 show (October 23) and three at the EICMA 2019 show. We know for sure that the new Kawasaki ZH2 will be shown in Tokyo and the new W800 at EICMA. Other expected models: Ninja 1000, Z650, Z900.
