Kawasaki company plans to produce spare parts for retrobikesMarch 18, 2019
Good news for owners of motorcycles Kawasaki Heavy Industries – in the near future the company will start production of parts for models Z1 and Z2.
Motorcycles Z1 and Z2, produced in the 70s, had a pretty good demand from buyers, but for fifty years they have been discontinued. And then the owners wondered: what about the service and where to get the parts? I had to look for craftsmen who made the necessary parts to order. Now this problem has received a solution, since they can be obtained from official dealers.
First of all, the company will produce cylinder heads, in the production of which modern technologies will be applied. That is why the new parts will not be an exact copy of the original.
So far, it is planned to produce a thousand units of components, but the quantity may increase depending on the demand for them. In addition, other spare parts may appear in the range. It is also possible that in the future, Kawasaki will start producing engines for those models that were popular in the past.
For the owners of Z1 and Z2, a website will be opened soon where they can order cylinder heads or parts for a model of another brand of their motorcycle. Sales start in early 2020, but the cost has not yet been announced.
Earlier, Triumph Motorcycles announced a new customizing unit and introduced two of its new models, the Thruxton TFC and the Rocket TFC.
