Karma has announced its first electric carSeptember 22, 2020
Karma has announced its first electric model by posting a teaser.
The teaser shows a part of the rear of the car, which does not give any idea about the upcoming new items. At the same time, the American automaker revealed plans for the new GS Series cars, which will include innovative electrification options, technological advances and the first electric luxury sedan in Karma history.
The design of the new GS Series family will continue to overlap with the Revero, but they will become more attractive in terms of value, which will help attract new customers.
Karma stressed that cost savings, a streamlined supply chain and standardized manufacturing methods will enable the company to offer consumers “a more attractive price for the GS range. At the same time, the auto concern refused to give specific numbers.
Note that the upcoming electric car can already be pre-ordered by paying $ 100. On the Karma website, the novelty is known as the GSe-6 series, and it says that it will be offered in several powertrain options and a battery with a capacity of 100 kW / h.
Recall that in April 2020, the American company announced plans for the GTE electric car. Then they said that the model will appear in the spring of 2021 and will initially be available in two different variations. The basic version will receive a 75 kW / h battery, which will provide a cruising range of up to 322 km, and the “older” modification with a 100 kW / h battery will be able to travel on a single charge up to 483 km.
Based on the above information, it can be assumed that the American company has decided to use the name GSe-6 for the upcoming electric car instead of the GTE name.
In addition, it was recently noted that the roof of the Tesla Model X electric car collapses on the move. It should be emphasized that, unlike the rest of the shortcomings, this applies not only to the owners of the American model, but also to other participants in the movement, since this time we are talking about a piece of the roof.
