Journalists got an updated crossover Renault CapturApril 5, 2019
French engineers are conducting the final tests of the compact Renault Captur crossover. Of the most important innovations can be noted completely new salon, as well as a hybrid version of the crossover.
The French brand is currently one of the busiest companies in the industry. In the very near future, a new generation of the baby Clio, an updated version of the Zoe electric car, an updated Megane hatchback and a Talisman sedan, as well as the second generation of the Captur compact crossover will be presented.
Here is a prototype of the French crossover, which has passed a series of road tests on public roads in southern Europe. Of course, his body is heavily disguised, but we are almost 100 percent sure that he has already received his serial body and production optics. Now it is difficult to call this car Clio on stilts.
Considering the close connection of the Clio 5 generation model with the Captur crossover, it can be assumed with confidence that they will have a similar interior design.
This means that an off-road vehicle will receive a fully reconstructed interior compared with the current version.
More and more customers are looking for hybrid crossovers, and Renault seems to understand this trend. That is why the new Captur will receive a completely new electrified unit, consisting of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, which operate with a 7-speed “automatic” with double clutch. The latter will take energy from a 1.2 kW * h battery, which can provide an electric drive of 50 km.
