Journalists for the first time captured the updated Audi A4 AllroadJanuary 29, 2019
The German wagon of the new generation will be presented as a 2020 or 2021 model year car. The presentation may take place either at the end of this year or at the beginning of the next.
We know that the guys from Audi are currently preparing a significant update for the A4 model. Last month we saw a disguised sedan and station wagon for the first time, and now spy photographers captured the prototype of the allroad off-road performance.
It is noteworthy that, having looked at this car for the first time, we decided before us the usual version of the station wagon A4, which according to tradition received a prefix to the name Avant. Compared with previous photos, everything converges – the volume, color camouflage, wheels and even the place where the car was captured. However, there are some key differences that tell us that this is the off-road Allroad.
Specifically, this prototype of the German novelty received additional overlays for rims and door sills, which also indicates the Allroad version.
The fake grille is also slightly modified, and although the rims look just like the ones we saw on the Avant, they are still a bit different. On closer examination, modified headlights are also visible. Unfortunately, dual searchlights on the roof of the station wagon are intended only for testing and will not appear in the production version of the car.
The interior is expected to be in many ways similar to the new A6, with fewer buttons and more touch screens. The novelty is likely to receive advanced company development in terms of driver assistance, and, possibly, a semi-autonomous control system function.
