Journalists caught wagon Aston Martin Vanquish ZagatoJanuary 16, 2019
Perhaps everything, absolutely all models of the British brand Aston Martin look dozens or even hundreds of millions of dollars. But the guys from the design studio Zagato once again were able to prove that there is always room for improvement.
We usually do not post “spy” pictures of cars that have already been officially presented, but we are ready to make an exception for this beauty. Known by his full name Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, the beautiful two-door wagon debuted back in August 2017, so it seems a bit strange to us to see his disguised prototype now. The car was baked at a gas station somewhere in southern Europe.
Like the two other projects of the Zagato atelier, built on the basis of the more powerful British coupe Vanquish S, the stylish wagon will be released in 99 copies. One question: why did Aston Martin test the car that it presented about a year and a half ago?
The observed prototype has only two of the four exhaust pipes, which may be due to the fact that British brand engineers are doing some research on the level of harmful substances in the atmosphere. Despite the fact that the car was introduced back in the days of the NEDC, we assume that Aston Martin prepares this model for compliance with the more stringent WLTP environmental regulations.
Whatever the reason, we are happy to once again look at this car. All 325 Vanquish models developed by Zagato have a naturally aspirated V12 engine rated at 580 horsepower.
