Journalists caught the prototype of the new Porsche 911 GT3February 4, 2019
A large rear wing is a clear sign that this is not an ordinary Carrera. Porsche 911 GT3 will be presented in 2020.
With the advent of the new generation of the sports coupe Porsche 911 (internal factory index 992), which has been presented so far with the versions of the Carrera S and 4S, we are now awaiting the appearance of more “hot” versions of the new product. One of them will undoubtedly be the GT3 and its hardcore brother GT3 RS.
The prototype of a German car was captured in the evening in the city of Stuttgart, Germany. We can say that at this stage, the guys from the German brand are in the final stages of testing their sports car.
It is too early to talk about which of the two GT3 versions were noticed by foreign journalists, but it would be more logical if it were not an RS version.
Since the video was shot, most likely, by the smartphone’s camera during late hours, when visibility was low, the quality of the pictures was not quite good. When cars are in motion, you may experience even a slight headache after watching the video, since stabilizing the camera is far from perfect. Nevertheless, this is a good opportunity to see the new Porsche in work. It is difficult not to notice the large rear wing and twin tailpipes of the exhaust system.
A week ago, the guys from Porsche confirmed their plans to equip the 911 GT3 RS with a naturally aspirated engine. Under the hood will be the same 4.0-liter unit, the capacity of which will be slightly increased. A 7-step PDK “robot” will be offered as a transmission.
