This off-road German station wagon was created for those people who do not like crossovers and SUVs. The novelty can be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show (March of this year).
Audi is doing everything possible to please absolutely all motorists, offering a wide range of models, which includes hatchbacks, sedans, coupes, convertibles, station wagons, and of course fashionable crossovers today.
Among all this variety of cars, off-road modifications of conventional station wagons, which traditionally receive the Allroad prefix, occupy a special place. These cars are created for those who are not too fond of models of the Q family (crossovers). For these guys, and creates a new generation of A6 Allroad.
“Spy” photos of the long-awaited news appeared at the disposal of our editorial a couple of minutes ago. Despite a slight disguise, it is known that the competitor Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain and Volvo V90 Cross Country has already passed the final tests in cold climatic conditions on the eve of its possible presentation in the coming months.
Knowing the difference between the usual Audi wagons and their off-road versions of the Allroad, one can guess how much the new A6 Allroad will be upgraded compared to the regular A6 Avant.
In addition to increased ground clearance, the car will receive a large number of plastic protective body panels and will have thicker roof rails. In the cabin there will be some minor differences. It goes without saying that the German new product will receive the company’s all-wheel drive system Quattro.
Audi A6 Allroad can debut in March this year at the Geneva Motor Show, before going on sale in Europe in the second half of the year. After some time, the automaker will introduce more powerful versions of the S6 Avant and RS6 Avant.
